WHY THIS MATTERS

Context before spectacle.

01

Living traditions, not museum exhibits.

Many of these cultures have living descendants who continue their traditions. We respect this heritage and present it with dignity.

02

Complexity instead of simplifications.

The Aztecs were not just "bloodthirsty priests." The Maya were not just "prophets of doom." Every culture was multifaceted, with its own achievements and contradictions.

03

Connection to the present.

Mesoamerican cultures shaped modern Mexico and Central America. Their language, food, art and beliefs live alongside us today.
